Helena Bereen is Belfast itself, 10,000 years old, and reassuringly responds to Cousin's concerns for his hometown, including the haunting legacy of the Troubles. Cousins, who walked every street of the city with his camera, intersperses Helena as Belfast personified with clips of the usually mundane or commonplace to lead viewers on a sensory journey.

French drama directed by Diane Kurys which draws on her own experiences to portray a year in the lives of two sisters 13-year-old Anne Elonore Klarwein, who is quiet and introverted, and 15-year-old Frdrique Odile Michel, more outgoing and already into adolescent affairs with boys. The sisters grow up in Paris during the early 1960s in the care of their divorced mother. They navigate their adolescence with curiosity and frustration, from their fleeting love interests and experiencing their first periods to cheating at school and wearing stockings in order to fit in and feel mature.

Scottish drama written and directed by experimental film-maker Margaret Tait, starring Celia Imrie, Jack Shepherd and Gerda Stevenson. Barbara Thorburn Imrie was brought up in Orkney but now lives in Edinburgh and spends her time reflecting on her childhood and trying to come to terms with the mysterious death of her mother, a poet named Greta Stevenson.

The old-fashioned tweed company that Mr. Martin Sellers works for comes under American influence, following the death of the elderly owner, and attempts are made to modernise the business and make it more efficient. However, when a woman, Angela Barrows Cummings, is sent to carry out this work Mr. Martin leads the men in their revolt against modernisation and any female input.

Noir horror written and directed by John Parker. Set in Los Angeles' Skid Row, the film follows a woman, the Gamin Adrienne Barrett, as she leaves her downtrodden hotel room and wanders the streets, becoming involved in several violent altercations as she also recalls her troubled upbringing.

Made-for-TV version of Orwell's classic dystopian novel. Set in a future world where Britain is known as Airstrip One and its people are ruled by 'The Party', headed by someone known only as Big Brother, Winston Peter Cushing works in the Ministry of Truth rewriting old newspaper articles. He secretly hates the party and has thoughts of rebellion, illegal in the tyrannical state where independent thinking is forbidden. Classic cult hippy movie from filmmaker Barbet Schroeder, set to a soundtrack by Pink Floyd. A group of travellers, searching for rare bird feathers in New Guinea, stumble upon the Mapuga tribe. This encounter with a society cut off from all other civilisation leads them on a journey of self-discovery.

Japanese horror. When a young computer hacker is found dead, his friends explore his flat and discover strange marks on the wall and a mysterious floppy disk. Analysing the disk for clues, they inadvertently release a virus that broadcasts web feeds to several different PCs, even if those computers are not actually on. What the web feeds reveal is a strange, ghostly environment populated by shadowy figures - ghosts who inhabit the digital world, and who are slowly forcing their way through into our dimension, with devastating results.

Marlon Brando directs and stars in this classic Western. The film follows Rio Brando, a man betrayed by his mentor and best friend Dad Longworth Karl Malden following a bank robbery in Sonora, Mexico. However, after falling in love with Dad's beautiful stepdaughter Louisa Pina Pellicer soon after arriving, Rio faces a tough decision as he is forced to choose between getting his revenge and starting a new life with Louisa. The cast also includes Ben Johnson, Slim Pickens and Katy Jurado.

Sunao Katabuchi writes and directs this feature-length anime based on the manga by Fumiyo Kono. Set in Hiroshima during World War II, 18-year-old Suzu voice of Rena Nounen is newly married and finds herself with a hungry family to feed. Despite the strict rations placed on them, Suzu must fight to survive and provide for her family, but when she is accused of being a spy her priorities change from finding food to proving her innocence. The voice cast includes Megumi Han, Yoshimasa Hosoya and Natsuki Inaba.

A Hammer horror classic starring Christopher Lee as Rasputin, the monk who the Russian Tsarina takes under her wing. The story begins with Rasputin, after using his powers to cure an innkeeper's wife, throwing a party, raping the innkeeper's daughter and cutting off the hand of her suitor. He then refuses to apologise to the Abbot of his monastery and leaves for St Petersburg, deciding to use his faith-healing powers for his own hedonistic ends. It is here that he eventually wangles his way into the Tsarina's court and she allows him more and more power.

Classic Hammer horror starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. Jonathan Harker John Van Eyssen journeys to Castle Dracula, where he is turned into one of the undead by the famous vampire Lee. Professor Van Helsing Cushing arrives and drives a stake through Harker's heart, but must then pursue Dracula to London, where the Count intends to make Harker's fiance Lucy Holmwood his bride. Lee and Cushing went on to make several more 'Dracula' films for Hammer.
